Brea is a city I truly care about, which is why I have decided to run for City Council. I take great pride in being a homeowner and resident of this well-woven community of families, churches, sports organizations and businesses. I want to protect and preserve what is great about Brea. My goal is to put Brea citizens FIRST and provide a representative who listens to all sides before deciding an issue.
As a Planning Commissioner, I have made decisions as if I were the resident facing the impact of a development project and not as “just a Commissioner” listening to the issues. It has been my priority to put myself in the shoes of the other person and always ask, "what if I lived there?"
Our city has dealt with increased traffic issues, decreasing resources, budget problems and items that have been pushed through without deep thought. While progress can be positive, progress must be planned and the priorities of our citizens must be addressed. Additionally, we need to work to encourage the success of small business owners and add amenities our entire community can enjoy.
Representing you on City Council is a serious issue and Brea requires a candidate that already has the education and experience to serve you.
I have a Masters of Public Administration from Cal State Fullerton and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Cal State Long Beach. I spent my career in law enforcement, putting criminals behind bars. I continue to work in education, teaching at the college level. Currently, I am the Chairman of the Board of the Brea Chamber of Commerce, where, as a Brea businessman, we are actively working to strengthen the business environment in Brea.
By selecting me for Brea City Council, you should know that I bring the ability to communicate effectively, find reasonable solutions and solve problems by thinking outside of the box. I will always strive to be available to listen to the opinions of the citizens of Brea.
Through your support, we can guarantee Brea will be the best place to live!
